James Prescott
James came to law later in life, spending years an EMT in King County and as a small business owner living abroad. He knows what it is like to be in the back of an ambulance, and how scary it can be to interact with an unfamiliar system. This background allows him to see cases as more than just legal issues, and injured persons as more than just clients.
James got his start as a litigator with the King County Department of Public Defense, where he interned throughout his time at UW Law. Since graduation his focus has been on personal injury, with an emphasis on estate issues in wrongful death claims. James is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and heads the office’s Chinese division – Zhulin Law.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, James is now happy to call the PNW his forever home. He lives in Sammamish, Washington, with his eight-year-old daughter, who is a budding young baker.
